The main instrument runway at Leeming features a 2291 m runway, at an elevation of 132 ft. Circuits are flown at 1000 ft, with a right hand circuit on runway 34 and left hand circuit over runway 16. Thus keeping all flights over the airfield North of the runway. The runway also features Rotary Hydraulic Arrestor Gear (RHAG).
Runway 03/21 is approximately 1000 m long (almost twice that required by the Meteor) so could conceivably have been employed. Today it is restricted to proppeller training aircraft (the Grob Tutor T.Mk1).
